      <image:caption>I started my academic path at Florida Gateway College where I earned an A.A. degree in Psychology (2009) and then transferred to the University of Central Florida where I earned my B.S. degree in Psychology (2011). Since then, I've worked as a patient representative, medical aide, and patient care coordinator in Ophthalmic, Orthopedic, and Vascular specialty care practices. I joined the United States Peace Corps (2018) and served in the remote regions of Eswatini, Africa as a Program and Health Services Coordinator. Through quantitative and qualitative research techniques, I implemented educational seminars to fight HIV/AIDS and conducted supply chain management for relative medications through local clinics. Upon returning to the United States, I completed my M.S. degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA; 2021). Through this program, I have presented at San Antonio Military Health System and Universities Research Forum conferences, I earned the Brain Health Consortium Seed Grant for my research on visual deficits subsequent to traumatic brain injury (TBI), and have my first publication on disruptive dizziness in Veterans with deployment-related TBI. I joined Swan Lab in the fall of 2019, looking to research how traumatic brain injury can alter cognition and behavior. I was awarded the MARC-U*STAR award the summer before my senior year and am currently in the process of completing my honor’s thesis on disordered sleep and traumatic brain injury with my advisor, Dr. Alicia Swan. After graduating, I plan to pursue a PhD in cognitive development.
